This fee is for initial consults, follow-up consults, and regular intervention sessions. In-clinic, telehealth or home visit.
Includes three sessions for information gathering, testing and feedback, as well as report preparation. The initial and feedback sessions can be conducted via telehealth. We prefer to conduct the testing session face-to-face.
Total number of hours depends on complexity, and typically involves 8-12 hours total (ranging from $1,863 - $2,795). Please contact the practice for a more specific quote on booking.
We also provide the above services in the community, conducted at the clients’ place of residence, or other suitable location, subject to a risk assessment and reasonable travel distances. The cost of travel is additional to the costs described above. Note, we are no longer able to travel for NDIS funded participants and are now encouraging NDIS participants to utilise their supports to attend appointments in-clinic.
Clients under the Medicare ‘Better Access to Mental Health Care’ initiative (with a Mental Health Care Plan and GP’s referral) are able to claim a rebate from Medicare for intervention sessions only. The Medicare rebate does not cover the entire cost of the service, therefore the client will need to pay an out-of-pocket fee. Please speak to reception for the current medicare rebate amount. Medicare does not provide a rebate for Neuropsychological Assessments.
We require written funding approval from third parties prior to booking. We charge the scheduled fee for TAC and Worksafe funded services with no out-of-pocket costs for clients.
We require written funding approval from third parties prior to booking. We currently apply for DVA approval to provide services at our standard rate prior to commencement of services using DVA funding, which can create delays due to processing time. This may change in future when the DVA rate for psychology changes.
NDIS requires that participants and their providers agree prior to commencements of services on the amount allocated to Psychology services and when this will be spent. We will collect information such as plan manager details, NDIS plan dates and Psychology funding allocation on booking.
Category of operation: 15_054_0128_1_3 [Psychological therapy, Capacity Building: Improved Daily Living , Assessment, Recommendation, Therapy or Training (including Assistive Technology) – Psychology].
We are not registered to provide services under "Improved relationships".
Clients can utilise their private health cover for Psychology if they have Psychology extras cover. We provide an itemised invoice which can be used for claims.
Third party organisations may request intervention services, or an assessment and report on a client. In these cases we will provide services to the client and invoice the third party directly.
We also accept private payments for all services. Payment can be made via credit card, Bpay and direct deposit. For privately paying clients undergoing neuropsychological assessment, we try to keep costs minimal where possible, and we split the total cost into three instalments to make payments more manageable. For clients with a low income or health care card, we can provide a reduced rate. Please speak to reception for further details.
